As part of Chairman Berdimuhamedov’s working visit to Kazakhstan, high-level bilateral talks were held with President Tokayev.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in the gas sector. Sanjar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC QazaqGaz,” also took part in the discussions.
Special focus was placed on expanding collaboration in the gas industry — particularly Kazakhstan’s potential participation in the development of the Galkynysh gas field in partnership with international stakeholders.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and moving forward with joint energy projects.
It’s worth noting that in October 2024, JSC “NC QazaqGaz” and Turkmengaz signed a strategic exploration agreement during President Tokayev’s official visit to Turkmenistan.
