Joint Stock Company "National Company "QazaqGaz" is the main gas company of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representing the interests of the state, both in the domestic and foreign gas market.

JSC NC "QazaqGaz" is a vertically integrated national gas company operating along the entire chain from exploration and production to the sale of final products.

JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" was renamed from Joint Stock Company "NC "KazTransGas" by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 982 dated 31.12.2021.

KazTransGas Company was established in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 173 dated February 5, 2000. On June 9, 2004, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Joint-Stock Companies" dated May 13, 2003 No. 415-II, the closed joint-stock company "KazTransGas" was renamed into the joint-stock company "KazTransGas".

By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated November 30, 2021 No. 852, KazTransGas JSC was granted the status of a National Company.

JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" is a portfolio company of JSC "NWF "Samruk-Kazyna". The company manages a centralized infrastructure for the transportation of commercial gas through main gas pipelines and gas distribution networks, provides international transit and sells gas on domestic and foreign markets, develops, finances, builds and operates pipelines and gas storage facilities.

Together, the group of companies of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" operates gas pipelines with a total length of about 76 thousand km. Including 20 thousand km of main gas pipelines with an annual capacity of up to 267.8 billion. m3 and gas distribution networks with a length of about 56 thousand km.

Currently, the group of companies "QazaqGaz" is represented in 11 regions of Kazakhstan: Almaty Aktobe Atyrau East Kazakhstan Zhambylskaya West Kazakhstan Karaganda Kostanay Kyzylorda Mangystau Turkestan regions as well as in the cities of republican significance - the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, Almaty and Shymkent.
