The Compliance Service, by the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Combating Corruption" and the Regulations on the Compliance Service of QazaqGaz NC JSC, is an independent structural unit, organizationally subordinate and functionally accountable to the Board of Directors of QazaqGaz NC JSC.
The primary purpose of the Compliance Service of QazaqGaz NC JSC is to implement the Compliance Program, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements on anti-corruption issues, determine anti-corruption policies, as well as monitor the implementation of anti-corruption measures, including assessing corruption risks in JSC " NC "QazaqGaz" and its subsidiaries and affiliates, the introduction of mechanisms to prevent corruption risks by the anti-corruption legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the best international anti-corruption practice.
The Compliance Service carries out activities to form and develop an anti-corruption culture - a system of values that reflects intolerance towards corruption. Face-to-face training and information events are held for the company's employees, visual materials on the company's anti-corruption policy requirements are posted in public places, and joint events are held with the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other organizations.
On an ongoing basis, consultations are held with employees and managers of the company, meetings with the management of the group of companies on anti-corruption issues; information mailings are sent on the requirements of the law.
When interacting with Counterparties, attention is drawn to how the Counterparties conduct their business relations on a conscientious and honest basis, take care of their reputation, demonstrate support for high ethical standards in their business activities, and implement their anti-corruption measures.
QazaqGaz makes reasonable efforts to minimize the risk in business relations with counterparties that may be involved in corrupt activities, for which the due diligence and tolerance of Counterparties to bribery is assessed, including an analysis of whether they have their anti-corruption policies or procedures, their willingness to comply with the requirements Policy and include anti-corruption clauses in contracts in the form provided for in Appendix No. 4 to the Policy, as well as provide mutual assistance for ethical business conduct and prevention of corruption.
