During a management meeting at JSC NC QazaqGaz, the draft of the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan was discussed. Company employees expressed their support for the initiative and underscored the importance of active participation in the forthcoming referendum.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Management Board Alibek Zhamauov noted that the draft of the Basic Law sets out the principles of the country’s development for many years ahead and has been shaped through broad public consultation.

“At the heart of the document is the individual — their rights and guaranteed protection, as well as the principles of justice, law and order. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of human capital, education, science and innovation, along with the protection of rights in the digital environment,” he said.

Employees of the gas sector stressed that the proposed amendments carry practical significance for them. The daily work of geologists, operators, engineers, dispatchers and welders ensures the uninterrupted supply of gas to households and enterprises across Kazakhstan. In their view, enshrining in the Constitution the principles of equality before the law and respect for working people helps create an environment in which professionalism, competence and responsibility are duly valued.

Discussions of the draft Constitution have previously taken place in various regions where the national company operates throughout Kazakhstan.

Ahead of the referendum, the head of QazaqGaz called on the workforce not to remain on the sidelines and to demonstrate an active civic stance. According to him, taking part in the vote is a continuation of professional responsibility at the level of the nation as a whole.
