The QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center will work in new directions. One of the main ones is training support. The expansion of this activity area is carried out through the transfer of the training and course center and the regulatory and technical laboratory, located in the city of Shymkent, from Intergas Central Asia JSC to the QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center. Thus, about 40 Intergas Central Asia JSC employees will join QazaqGaz STC.

In addition, work is planned in technical policy, standardization, and corporate governance.

It should be noted that QazaqGaz STC is interested in cooperation with advanced technology partners and R&D centers and is working to attract leading technical universities in Kazakhstan and abroad.

Together with Baker Hughes, a selection was carried out among QazaqGaz employees for training in intensive programs at Baker Hughes University in Italy. More QazaqGaz employees will now have this opportunity to travel to Florence to study twice a year. This agreement was reached in January 2024 by QazaqGaz STC and Baker Hughes during a trip to Rome as part of the Head of State delegation.

A big step towards a new format of interaction and development of competencies was the cooperation agreement with Agip Caspian Sea, a subsidiary of Eni. The signed document will expand cooperation on knowledge exchange and training to share best practices for sustainable development and decarbonization technologies.

In October 2022, the Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC “QazaqGaz” Sanzhar Zharkeshov announced the creation of the scientific and technical center “QazaqGaz STC”. The objectives of the STC include the commercialization of science, the development of an engineering center, the localization of service and repairs for international leaders in the gas industry, support for domestic mechanical engineering, and professional training and retraining of domestic specialists.
