On the eve of the Nauryz Meiramy celebrations, QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC has completed the connection of part of the Sotsgorod district in the city of Temirtau to natural gas. The project has been implemented as part of Phase III of the first stage of the Saryarka main gas pipeline and marks an important step towards greater comfort and environmental wellbeing for local residents.

A total of 948 subscribers — including households in the Setevoy area and Temirtauskiy Lane — now benefit from a stable and safe gas supply. More than 28 kilometres of new gas distribution networks have been laid, and 13 modern gas regulation stations have been installed. All facilities successfully underwent the required testing and safety compliance checks in early 2026.

“Connecting households to gas on the eve of Nauryz is not merely a technical milestone. For residents of Sotsgorod, it represents a new standard of living: cleaner air, a move away from coal and ash, and reliable warmth and convenience at home. We are committed to developing modern infrastructure that will serve the city’s residents for many years to come,” said Vladislav Kisikov, Director of the Karaganda Production Branch of QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC.

Gasification not only improves everyday living conditions but also has a positive impact on the city’s environment. The use of natural gas reduces atmospheric emissions, making the urban environment safer and more comfortable for residents.

QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC congratulates new subscribers on this important milestone and reminds them of key safety rules:

  • Use only certified equipment and ensure contracts are in place for the maintenance of internal gas systems;

  • Regularly check ventilation draught;

  • At the slightest smell of gas, immediately shut off the supply, ventilate the premises and contact the emergency service by dialling 5-104.
