As part of the implementation of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on gasification and improvement of the quality of life of the rural population, a ceremony of launching a natural gas supply system was held in the village of Shubar.

The event was attended by Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "QazaqGaz" Sanzhar Zharkeshov. The 74.2 km long gas pipeline was built as part of a project implemented by the Tselinograd District Construction Department. As a result, more than 400 households in the village gained access to natural gas. The new level of comfort will become an important factor in the socio-economic development of the region. 

"The main task set by the Head of State is to improve the standard of living of Kazakhstanis. Today we have provided the villagers with natural gas this is a concrete result of our systematic work. This year, 12 gasification projects are being implemented in the region, which will cover about 125,000 people," said Akim of Akmola region Marat Akhmetzhanov. 

The first household connected to the gas was the family of Aiman Beisenbayeva, who thanked the leadership of the region and the company for the implementation of the long-awaited project. "This is a historic event for our family. There is no need to harvest firewood and carry coal anymore. The house is warm and cozy this is the main thing for any family," said the resident.

 In turn, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, noted that connecting to gas is not only an increase in comfort for residents, but also the basis for socioeconomic development and improving the quality of life of citizens. "The national company QazaqGaz is constantly working to ensure high living standards in every region of the country, contributing to the sustainable growth of the economy and the well–being of the population," Sanzhar Zharkeshov said. 

As part of the investment program for 2024-2028, the capital's production branch of QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC is actively building gas pipelines in a number of localities. So, on February 1, 2025, residents of the village of Nurly in the Tselinograd district of the region received access to natural gas. 

For reference: From 2020 to 2024, 657 kilometers of gas pipelines were built and commissioned in the Akmola region, 9,656 households were gasified. Recent projects include the launch of gas in the village of Zhibek Zholy, Arshaly district, and coverage of 17 settlements as part of the first stage of construction of the Saryarka main gas pipeline.  In the near future, gasification of 6 suburban villages of the capital (Akkayin village, Koyandy village, Shubar village, Altynsarina village, Karaotkel village, Talapker village) and Kosshy town will be carried out, 32,975 subscribers (140,000 residents) will receive access to natural gas.
