QazaqGaz Group has successfully wrapped up the 2024–2025 fall-winter heating season, maintaining stable and uninterrupted gas supply across the country. A review meeting was held with the participation of Sanjar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC "QazaqGaz." Reports were presented by top executives from Intergas Central Asia JSC and QazaqGaz Aimaq JSC, highlighting the season’s outcomes and outlining measures to enhance reliability for the upcoming winter.

“Our gas transmission and distribution systems operated steadily and without disruptions throughout the heating season,” said Zharkeshov. “This is a direct result of the coordinated efforts of the entire QazaqGaz team and our strong preparedness. That said, every season brings new challenges. We’ve already begun preparing for the next one to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of gas to consumers.”

The heating season has officially ended in seven regions, including Almaty, Shymkent, and several southern and eastern provinces. Domestic gas consumption increased by 6% year-over-year, while withdrawals of commercial gas from underground storage facilities rose by 11%. Notably, the Bozoi UGS hit a historic milestone with a record-high withdrawal of 2.6 billion m³ — 104% of the planned volume. Withdrawals were also completed at the Poltoratskoye UGS (350 million m³, or 100% of the plan), and operations continue at the Akyrtobe UGS, expected to reach 97.1% of the target.

During the season, the emergency dispatch service handled 46,633 service calls. Over 72,500 km of gas distribution pipelines and 35,301 facilities were maintained by a dedicated workforce of 4,064 employees — including 794 on round-the-clock emergency duty.

Additionally, the leadership of Asian Gas Pipeline LLP reported the successful winter operation of the Kazakhstan–China trunk pipeline, ensuring steady gas deliveries to domestic consumers and fulfilling export commitments to international partners.

QazaqGaz remains focused on strengthening the reliability and efficiency of its gas supply systems. Preparations for the next heating season are already underway and are under close supervision by company leadership. The meeting concluded with proposals for infrastructure upgrades, enhanced preventive measures, and increased flexibility in demand management — all aimed at making the next heating season even safer and more resilient.
