This investment project is necessary to ensure energy security and to develop gas supply for the southern and central regions of Kazakhstan, including providing gas to new energy projects planned in the southern region—such as the Turkestan CCGT, Kyzylorda CCGT, Almaty CHPP-1, 2, 3, and others—as well as to maintain gas export volumes to China.
