World Environment Day 2024 is dedicated to restoring land, halting desertification, and building resilience to drought under the theme "Our Land. Our future. We are the Recovery Generation." We can't turn back time, but we can grow forests, restore water sources, and restore healthy soils. We are the generation that can bring peace to the earth.
The HSE service of QazaqGaz NC JSC, in its commitment to environmental sustainability, organized a three-day training session on "Methane emissions in the oil and gas sector." This training, supported by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and the Global Methane Center (GMH) of the Norwegian company Carbon Limits, was attended by employees of the central office and structural divisions of subsidiaries and affiliates. Upon completion, 47 QazaqGaz employees were awarded an international certificate under the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), a testament to their enhanced knowledge and skills in environmental protection.
On the eve of World Environment Day, the Chairman of the Board of QazaqGaz, Sanzhar Zharkeshov, presented the employees of the QazaqGaz group of companies with badges, certificates of honor and letters of gratitude from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. These recognitions were given for their significant contributions and dedicated work in the field of environmental protection, such as reducing methane emissions and promoting sustainable practices.
