JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" assigned the name of the honored worker of the gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Eset Rovatovich Azerbayev to the compressor station "Uralsk". The solemn ceremony, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of the oil and gas complex of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took place on August 29 with the participation of the Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" Sanzhar Zharkeshov, representatives of the akimat of the West Kazakhstan region, veterans of the gas industry and the staff of the Ural Linear Production Department of JSC "Intergas Central Asia". The guests took part in the memorial stone's opening, and honored the memory of Eset Azerbayev.
"We must save the good memory of the first president of the national gas company Kazakhgaz, Eset Rovatovich. It is precisely such people who are not indifferent to their country that should be an example for the younger generation of gas workers. It was essential for him to gasify the regions. Perhaps that is why people still remember him with warmth, and his name will forever be inscribed in golden letters in the history of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan," said Sanjar Zharkeshov.
One of the initiators of awarding the compressor station named after Eset Azerbayev and the opening of the memorial stone were veterans of the gas industry.
"Despite all the difficulties of that time, heading the first national company, Eset Rovatovich always sought to create a unified system of gas pipelines and gasification of new territories of young independent Kazakhstan. Today, these pipelines have already been built, through which natural gas is supplied to almost all regions of the country for export. Therefore, the memory of a true patriot of his country does not fade away, and today's event is a vivid confirmation of this," said Anatoli Tegisbaev, Honored Worker and gas industry veteran.
The family of Eset Azerbayev also attended the ceremony. Family members expressed their gratitude and support.
"We thank QazaqGaz for their contribution to the legacy of Eset Azerbayev. Six years have passed since he passed away, but the memories of him do not fade away. It is gratifying that the new generation of specialists is aware of the importance of the continuity of generations. For many, his name is associated with the heyday of the gas industry in Kazakhstan, and now we also see the rise of the gas industry. It is valuable for us to see that all his work was not in vain," the relatives of the famous gas worker shared their impressions.
At the same time, the head of QazaqGaz inspected the readiness of the gas facilities of the West Kazakhstan region for the upcoming autumn-winter period. According to experts, the area is 100% ready for the heating season.
