Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Geological Exploration and Prospective Projects at JSC NC QazaqGaz, recently conducted an inspection of the production facilities at the Amangeldinskoye group of fields.

During his visit, Ulan Burkitov reviewed the key assets managed by QazaqGaz Exploration and Production LLP. His inspection included a tour of the production facilities, such as the integrated gas treatment unit, and an evaluation of safety compliance and operational standards. He also visited the production sites, including well No. 17 at the Anabay field, where drilling has reached 3,500 meters to access the productive Devonian horizon.

In addition to these assessments, Ulan Burkitov met with the engineering and technical staff at the Amangeldy branch to discuss operational goals and share plans for expanding the resource base. As part of his visit, he presented an honorary diploma from QazaqGaz NC JSC to Ospan Makhanov, the head of the production branch, in recognition of his contributions.

The Amangeldy field is considered a model for industrial safety, having maintained an incident-free record since operations began.

Commissioned in 2003, the Amangeldy field holds strategic importance for the region’s gas production industry. While its reserves are relatively modest, the field’s proximity to major consumers in southern Kazakhstan, including Almaty, makes it a critical asset. The Amangeldy group also encompasses satellite deposits such as Airakty, Zharkum, and Anabay, which have been developed for industrial use.
