During a round table with the participation of QazaqGaz and KazService, the heads of Kazakhstani service companies discussed opportunities and plans to increase local content in the national company.
According to representatives of KazService, significant changes have occurred in the Kazakhstani oil and gas market since the instruction of the Head of State in September 2023. The Government approved a comprehensive plan for developing large oil, gas, and petrochemical projects for 2023-2027, including 20 key initiatives.
Thanks to the support of the country's leadership, the Government, the Ministry of Energy, and the Samruk-Kazyna Fund, QazaqGaz has implemented a number of key tasks over the past two years to ensure the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers, build strategic infrastructure projects, expand the resource base, and increase the gas industry's investment attractiveness.
The rapid development of the gas sector and its importance in the context of global energy transformation open up new opportunities for QazaqGaz to cooperate with domestic service companies and implement promising projects.
"QazaqGaz adheres to the principles of open dialogue with domestic partners in its work. It is important to understand that the success of our industry directly depends on the coordinated work of all its participants," said Meirbek Ikhsanov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz. He noted that special attention is paid to increasing the share of Kazakhstani companies in the implementation of key projects.
Joint work to strengthen the positions of local enterprises and integrate them into key projects in the gas industry will contribute not only to the development of the national industry but also to ensuring sustainable growth of the entire energy infrastructure of Kazakhstan.
