First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Meyrbek Ihsanov, held talks with Wang Haiyan, Vice President of PetroChina International. The parties discussed the issues of natural gas exports to China under the current 3-year contract.
“During the winter period we take all necessary measures and efforts to stabilize export gas supplies,” said Meyrbek Ihsanov. According to him, the successful completion of the first contract year lays a good foundation for the next two years under the current contract.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects of long-term gas supplies and issues of modernization of the gas transportation infrastructure of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
PetroChina is a strategic partner for QazaqGaz. Expanded cooperation is expected to strengthen the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two companies and improve the transportation capacity for gas supplies.
