As part of increasing corporate responsibility, the QazaqGaz group of companies held Compliance Day. The event aimed to strengthen ethical behavior standards, meritocracy principles, and transparency of business processes.
One of the important moments of the forum was the signing of the "Basic principles of combating corruption" by the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov and the first heads of the national company's subsidiaries and dependent enterprises.
"Compliance in QazaqGaz was implemented practically from scratch and is supported at all levels of management - from the Board of Directors to each division. We aim to ensure that compliance is not perceived as a formality, but is perceived by all employees as a mandatory and natural part of our daily activities," said the head of QazaqGaz.
In addition, the Head of the Compliance Service of JSC NC QazaqGaz Arman Tairov spoke about the work results for 9 months of 2024. Reports were also made by the Deputy Head of the Prevention Service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, Zhiger Baidildin, and the Head of the Compliance Service of JSC Samruk-Kazyna Askar Darmenov. They invited expert Zhomart Ismagilov on the "Anti-Bribery Management System" topic. During the event, a member of the Board of Directors of JSC NC QazaqGaz, independent director Nurlan Akhanzaripov presented a strategic vision for the development of the compliance function in the company. The management outlined plans to integrate advanced global standards and expand the practice of internal monitoring and control. Particular attention was paid to Anti-Corruption Management Systems, their implementation, and their effectiveness.
