The negotiations took place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
The meeting participants discussed strategic issues related to current joint megaprojects in the field of gas transportation: the first line of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline (MG) and the Asian Gas Pipeline.
The parties also considered the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between QazaqGaz and CNPC in the gas industry, including the export of Kazakh gas, the transit potential of the Republic’s gas transportation system, and gas exploration projects.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov thanked the Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNPC Dai Houliang for many years of cooperation and trust and expressed hope for fruitful future joint work in the gas sector.
