To ensure uninterrupted and safe gas supply during the upcoming heating season, QazaqGaz Group is actively implementing a wide range of measures to prepare its gas transmission and distribution infrastructure.

Across all regions where the company operates, leading technical teams from QazaqGaz’s subsidiaries are involved in readying gas supply systems for the fall-winter period, following an approved action plan. Specifically, QazaqGaz Aimaq is carrying out:

Maintenance on 1,777 gas distribution stations
Repairs on 183,455 cabinet- and block-type regulator units
Servicing of 114,591 shut-off devices
Repairs on 1,727 cathodic protection units
Instrumental inspection of 1,781,400 meters of gas pipelines

As of now, the gas distribution network and associated infrastructure are 41% ready.

Meanwhile, Intergas Central Asia JSC is conducting large-scale maintenance on trunk gas pipelines. Completed work includes defect removal on:

  • GRS-1 “Atyrau” pipeline branch (61 pipes)

  • The second line of the BGR–TBA pipeline (13 pipes)

  • The Gazli–Shymkent pipeline (141 pipes)

  • The Akshabulak–Kyzylorda pipeline segment (13 pipes)

Work is ongoing to eliminate defective sections on the Soyuz main pipeline. This year also includes planned pipe replacements on the Orenburg–Novopskov, Kartaly–Rudny, and Amangeldy KS-5 lines.

In total, 250 defects are scheduled to be addressed on mainline pipelines in 2025, with 228 already completed. Additional work is underway at South-Central Gas Transport System (SCGTS) facilities as part of the project to transport Russian gas to Uzbekistan.

All readiness activities are scheduled for completion, with formal certification of preparedness across all QazaqGaz facilities expected by September this year.
