Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov and Chen Huailun, recently appointed CNPC CEO for Central Asia and Russia, discussed strategic partnership issues.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov noted the merits of the previous CNPC management in strengthening long-term cooperation between the companies and expressed support for the new CNPC CEO for Central Asia and Russia, emphasizing the importance of bilateral partnerships.
The meeting discussed issues of gas export and transit and the possibility of implementing joint projects in Kazakhstan. The agreements will strengthen the mutually beneficial partnership between the companies and develop strategically important energy projects in the region.
The interlocutors also discussed issues of exporting Kazakh gas, the transit potential of the country's gas transportation system, and gas exploration projects.
Earlier, during the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev's working visit to China, the companies considered the prospects for implementing new projects.
