Governor of the Aqtobe Region Askhat Shakharov met with Sanzhar Zharkeshov, Chairman of the Management Board of QazaqGaz. During the talks, the two discussed the modernization of the region’s gas distribution networks and preparations for the upcoming heating season.

According to QazaqGaz, the region’s gasification level has reached 95.7%. “This is the result of consistent, coordinated efforts between the Government, the regional administration, and the gas sector. Our shared priority now is to ensure reliability, modernization, and continued growth of gas supply, especially given the region’s rising demand,” Zharkeshov noted.

As part of its investment program, QazaqGaz is carrying out a project to upgrade a medium-pressure pipeline in Aqtobe, originally commissioned back in 1976. Of the 8.7 kilometers of pipeline slated for reconstruction, more than 5.5 kilometers have already been replaced. The work is scheduled for completion by the end of the year. Once modernized, the pipeline will be looped into other networks, ensuring uninterrupted gas supply to central districts of the city, including critical infrastructure.

Meanwhile, preparations for the heating season are on track, with overall readiness currently at 95%.

The Aqtobe production branch of QazaqGaz Aimaq operates 5,900 kilometers of distribution networks.
