Asylzhan Dauletov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz for Exploration and Production, got acquainted with the progress of seismic exploration at the Saralzhyn site. A subsidiary of the national company, QazaqGaz Exploration and Production LLP, conducts seismic exploration using the MOGT-2D method on the contract territory of the Saralzhyn site. The work is aimed at clarifying the geological structure of the subsurface, identifying promising structures and preparing facilities for exploratory drilling.
According to Asylzhan Dauletov, the total amount of work is 507 linear kilometers, of which 147 linear kilometers are for detailed survey, 360 linear kilometers for regional survey.
"Experimental and methodological work has now begun to determine the optimal parameters of the seismic survey. It is planned to complete the seismic work by the end of 2026. The results obtained will make it possible to clarify the geological structure of promising facilities and justify the choice of sites for exploration wells," he said.
After completion of work at the Saralzhyn site, it is planned to begin seismic exploration using the MOGT-2D method at the geological exploration site of the GIN-1 "Caspian Sea". The total amount of work will be 3,700 square kilometers. First, a regional survey will be carried out, then a detailed survey.
