Astana, October 11 – Today, a mass run called “QazaqGaz Run” took place in the capital, during which participants covered distances of 5 and 10 km. The start and finish of the events took place in the Triathlon Park, and the race routes ran along the embankment and through the parks on the right bank of the capital. The routes were carefully measured to ensure minimal elevation changes and included kilometre markings and electronic timing using chips in the starting numbers.

What was it like

Runners over the age of 18 who had completed pre-registration were allowed to participate in the race. The registration limit was 500 people: 150 places for a distance of 10 km and 350 places for a distance of 5 km. The 10 km start was scheduled for 09:30, the 5 km start was scheduled for 10:00, and the award ceremony was held at 11:30.

Catering facilities, medical support and a luggage room were organized for the participants. All finishers received medals for their participation. The results of the race are available on the website: https://qazaqgaz.run/event/qg-runners-2026-300926
