Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" Batyrzhan Tergeusizov visited the construction site of the gas processing plant (GPP) at the Kashagan field, with a capacity of 1 billion m³ of gas per year. During the visit, B. Tergeusizov familiarized himself with the current status of project implementation, key stages of construction, and technical solutions being applied at the site. He also participated in a weekly production meeting with project participants, where he discussed current issues related to the work schedule and safety measures at the site.
As of today, more than 1,600 people and 304 units of machinery are involved at the construction site. Regular safety audits and training sessions for workers are being conducted.
Progress on construction and installation works (C&I):
- Concrete work on the foundations at the GPP: 42,956 m³ out of 72,447 m³, progress 59.3%.
- Installation of metal structures: 2,640 tons out of 19,830 tons, progress 13.3%.
- Installation of mechanical equipment: 2,911 tons out of 9,256 tons, progress 31.5%.
- Installation of tanks: 454 tons out of 2,705 tons, progress 16.8%.
- Installation of underground pipelines: 14,217 m out of 56,447 m, progress 25.2%.
The construction of the GPP at Kashagan is continuing on schedule.
For reference: After the project is implemented, an increase in the resource base of commercial gas is expected by 727 million m³ per year, gas motor fuel and raw materials for organic synthesis (LPG) in the amount of 115.5 thousand tons per year, stable gas composite for petrochemical production in the amount of 17 thousand tons per year, and granulated sulfur in the amount of 218.5 thousand tons per year.
