Batyrzhan Tergeussizov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for New Projects at JSC “NC QazaqGaz,” conducted a field inspection of the Kashagan Gas Processing Plant, which will have a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters per year. Currently, more than 1,900 workers and about 370 units of construction equipment are engaged on-site. Particular attention is being paid to industrial and fire safety, as well as to night operations, with approximately 167 workers involved in the night shift.

Progress on construction and installation works (CIW):

  • Hydraulic testing completed for an 8,000 m³ storage tank and 2,000 m³ cooling towers;

  • Hydrotesting completed for Utility System-1 (over 12 km of underground pipelines);

  • Ongoing works include foundation concreting, steel structure installation, mounting of process equipment and service platforms, assembly of steel tanks (RVS-5000 and RVS-1000), and installation of spherical tanks;

  • Construction of external utility networks (Utility System-2) in progress;

  • At the GPCI camp, roofing completed on two dormitories for 132 and 140 residents, roofing underway at the administrative and service complex, and partition installation ongoing inside the dormitories.

Key work progress:

  • Foundation concreting: 52,012 m³ completed (69.1%);

  • Steel structure installation: 3,843 tons (19.0%);

  • Mechanical equipment installation: 4,093 tons (42.3%);

  • Tank installation: 841 tons (31.1%);

  • Underground pipeline installation: 18,168 m (44.8%).
