Batyrzhan Terguesizov, Deputy Chairman for New Projects at JSC “NC QazaqGaz,” conducted a field inspection of the Kashagan gas processing plant, which will have a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters per year.
Currently, about 1,900 workers and more than 370 units of construction equipment are engaged at the site. Special attention is being paid to industrial and fire safety, as well as to the organization of night shifts — around 105 workers are on duty overnight.
Progress on construction and installation works:

Hydraulic testing completed for an 8,000 m³ storage tank and 2,000 m³ cooling tanks.

Hydrotesting completed for utility pipelines (NVC-1), covering more than 12 km of underground pipelines.

Ongoing work includes foundation concreting, steel structure installation, equipment and service platform assembly, construction of RVS-5000 and RVS-1000 steel tanks, as well as spherical tanks.

Construction of external utility networks (NVC-2) is underway.

At the GPCI workers’ camp, roofing has been completed on two dormitories (132 and 140 beds), while roofing is in progress at the administrative and utilities complex. Partition walls are being installed inside the dormitories.
