The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC "National Company QazaqGaz," Meirbek Ukasovich Ikhsanov, inspected the progress of the construction of the 1 billion cubic meters Gas Processing Plant (GPP) at the Kashagan field in the Atyrau region.

During the working trip, it was noted that alongside general construction works on foundations and the erection of metal structures, active work is being carried out on the installation of technological equipment. The installation of four distillation columns in their project positions has been completed, as well as the installation of medium-tonnage skids at the light hydrocarbons production unit. A 400-ton crane is ready for the installation of oversized column equipment weighing more than 170 tons at the amine treatment unit and the sulfur production unit.

As of now:

  • The installation of piles has been fully completed, with 4,541 units installed (100%).

  • Concrete work for the foundations at the UCPG has been completed by 57%, with 38,135 m³ poured out of the planned 66,812 m³.

  • The installation of metal structures has reached 12%.

  • The installation of mechanical equipment has been completed by 13.6%.

Additionally, 95% progress has been made in the construction of the railway tracks. Work is underway on the construction of a shift camp for 320 people, which will be fully completed by August 2025.

At the same time, more than 40 railcars of connecting pipelines have been delivered to the construction site. It is worth noting that the contracting company is gradually increasing the number of direct personnel and machinery.
