Batyrzhan Terguesizov, Deputy Chairman of the Board for New Projects at JSC “NC QazaqGaz,” conducted an on-site inspection of the 1 bcm/year Gas Processing Plant (GPP) under construction at Kashagan.

Currently, over 1,900 workers and more than 370 units of construction equipment are active on-site. Special attention is being given to industrial and fire safety protocols, as well as the organization of night shifts — approximately 95 workers are engaged during nighttime operations.

Construction Progress Highlights:

  • Hydrostatic testing completed on the 8,000 m³ storage tank and 2,000 m³ cooling tower tanks

  • Hydrotesting of Utility System 1 (over 12 km of underground pipelines) completed

  • Ongoing work includes foundation concreting, steel structure installation, equipment and service platform assembly, and construction of steel tanks (RVS-5000 and RVS-1000)

  • External utility infrastructure (Utility System 2) under active construction

  • Roofing underway on two buildings at the GPCI camp — administrative/residential facility and a 132-bed dormitory

  • Interior partition installation continues in dorms for 132 and 140 occupants

Key Construction Metrics:

  • Concrete poured for foundations: 50,238 m³ (67% complete)

  • Steel structure installation: 3,686 tons (18.2%)

  • Mechanical equipment installation: 4,019 tons (41.6%)

  • Tank installation: 807 tons (29.8%)

  • Underground pipeline installation: 16,592 meters (40.9%)

JSC “NC QazaqGaz” will continue to closely monitor project progress to ensure deadlines are met and all quality and safety standards are upheld throughout construction.
