Batyrzhan Tergessizov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for New Projects at QazaqGaz, conducted a field inspection of the Kashagan Gas Processing Plant, designed with a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters per year. The visit brought together experts from GPCI and representatives of contracting organizations.

During the meeting, contractors provided updates on construction and installation progress and outlined their plans to meet key project milestones by the end of this year. Tergessizov instructed the teams to strengthen oversight of construction and installation activities, continue optimizing production processes, and emphasized strict compliance with industrial and fire safety standards — including during night shifts.

The site currently employs about 2,000 specialists, with around 163 working night shifts. More than 370 units of construction equipment are in operation. Special attention is being given to ensuring safe working conditions, particularly at night.

Progress on construction and installation works:

  • Hydraulic testing completed for an 8,000 m³ storage tank, 2,000 m³ cooling towers, and a 5,000 m³ raw water tank.

  • Hydrotesting completed for UVS-1 (over 12 km of underground pipelines).

  • Ongoing work includes concrete foundations, steel structure installation, equipment and platform mounting, assembly of steel tanks (RVS-5000 and RVS-1000), and installation of spherical tanks.

  • Construction of external utility networks (UVS-2) is in progress.

  • At the GPCI workers’ camp, roofing is completed on two dormitories (132 and 140 beds). Roofing continues at the administrative and utility complex, while partitioning and electrical works progress inside the dormitories.

Completion status of key work types:

  • Concrete foundation works: 52,231 m³ completed (69.4%)

  • Steel structure installation: 3,890 tons (19.2%)

  • Mechanical equipment installation: 4,104 tons (42.4%)

  • Tank installation: 841 tons (31.1%)

  • Underground pipeline installation: 18,374 m (37.9%)

QazaqGaz continues comprehensive oversight of the project, ensuring construction deadlines are met while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards at every stage.
