During a working visit to Atyrau, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board for Geological Exploration and Prospective Projects of NC QazaqGaz JSC Ulan Burkitov introduced the new executive director for capital construction at GPC Investment LLP Mugala Makymgali. He noted that Mugala Toreshly was nominated by UCC Holding (a subsidiary of Qatari Power International Holding) in connection with the transfer of operational control over the project to the management of the Qatari company.
“We are pleased to welcome Mugala Toreshly to the QazaqGaz group of companies. I am confident that his extensive knowledge in the construction field will help accelerate the implementation of the gas processing plant project in Kashagan,” Ulan Burkitov noted.
Mugal Makymgali has over 30 years of experience in industrial construction and large infrastructure project management. Previously, he held key positions at the Atyrau Oil Refinery and in companies such as Agip-KCO, North Caspian ProCon Solutions, and SNC-Lavalin. Before his appointment to GPC Investment, he held a senior position at UCC Holding.
He successfully implemented projects to expand the Atyrau Oil Refinery, launch the Bolashak Integrated Oil and Gas Treatment Plant, and significant projects at the Tengiz field, including integrated process lines. In addition, Mugal Makymgali graduated from the Executive MBA program in International Oil and Gas Management at the Swiss Business School.
In his new position, Mugal Makymgali will be responsible for the capital construction of the gas processing plant.
