Alibek Zhamauov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC “QazaqGaz,” reviewed the progress of works at the construction site of the Gas Processing Plant (GPP) at the Kashagan field in Atyrau Region. During the inspection, he visited the booster compressor station and familiarised himself with the construction of the liquefied gas terminal. The visit was attended by company specialists and representatives of the contracting organisations – Kazakh Construction Group LLP and Integra Construction KZ LLP.
The contractors reported on the status of construction and installation works and outlined plans to achieve key project milestones by the end of the year.
Alibek Zhamauov emphasised the need to intensify resource mobilisation and further accelerate construction pace. He noted that construction and installation works are under enhanced control and instructed the teams to continue optimising production processes. Special attention is being paid to compliance with industrial and fire safety requirements, including night shifts.
At present, more than 1,948 specialists are engaged at the site, including 1,340 direct personnel. Around 150 workers are involved in night shifts. Over 369 units of construction equipment are in operation. A strong focus is placed on ensuring safe working conditions, including during night-time operations.
Construction and Installation Progress

Testing completed for several major tanks: an 8,000 m³ storage tank, 2,000 m³ cooling towers, a 5,000 m³ raw water tank, and an RVS-1000 tank.

More than 12 km of underground pipelines of Phase I (NVK-1) have passed leak tests.

Installation of Phase II (NVK-2) pipelines is underway.

Ongoing works include foundation construction, steel structure assembly, equipment and service platform installation, and assembly of various tanks – RVS-5000, RVS-1000, and 600 m³ spherical tanks.

Construction of external utility networks (NVK-2) is in progress.
At the GPCI workers’ camp, roofing of the administrative and residential complex and two dormitories for 132 and 140 residents has been completed. Partitioning and electrical installation works are currently underway.
