The Chairman of the Board of JSC NC, QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov, met with the management of J.P. Morgan with the participation of the Head of Treasury of PIH, Georges Barakat. The delegation of J.P. Morgan included the Head of the Investment Banking Department (CIS) of J.P. Morgan, Timur Kunanbayev, the Head of Export and Agency Finance Ignacio Matalobos Rosique, the Vice President of J.P. Morgan Dubai, Arseniy Loboyko and the Global Head of Origin Department of EAF Richard Wilkins. The parties discussed the possibility of financing QazaqGaz's key projects, which were implemented jointly with Qatari investors in Kazakhstan.
The main focus was on using financing with the support of export credit agencies (ECA-backed financing) to implement QazaqGaz's strategic initiatives.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov noted the importance of innovative financing mechanisms to accelerate the company's growth and increase its competitiveness in the global energy market. J.P. Morgan expressed interest in collaborating with QazaqGaz to develop individual financial solutions to implement the company's ambitious projects.
