A subsidiary of the national company "QazaqGaz" - JSC "KazTransGas Aimak" - connected the settlements of Baiterek and Zhambyl-2 of the Keles region to natural gas.

The gas connection ceremony was attended by Bauyrzhan Askarov, General Director of KazTransGas Aimak JSC, Roza Sariyeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Turkestan Region, Zhanibek Agybaev, Akim of the Keles District, media representatives and villagers.

Gas pipelines to supply these villages with natural gas began to be built in 2021. For the delivery of "blue fuel" from the gas distribution station named after Gani Muratbayev to the settlements of Baiterek, Zhambyl-2, more than 25 km of gas pipelines were laid, two gas control points (GRP), 414 cabinet gas distribution stations were installed. Thanks to today's event, it is possible to connect 544 residential buildings to natural gas.

Congratulating the residents on today's event, the General Director of KazTransGas Aimak JSC Bauyrzhan Askarov noted that their main task is to give warmth and joy to every home.

"Natural gas has much more advantages than other fuels, and its presence in daily life makes it much more manageable. Blue fuel brings many benefits, but it must be remembered that safety in handling gas should come first, - B. Askarov stressed.

Also, as part of the event, gas workers handed out leaflets to residents, which indicate the rules for safe use and careful consumption of gas in everyday life.

Keles district of the Turkestan region has 133,753 inhabitants living in 83 settlements. To date, 65 settlements in the area are covered by natural gas, 78% of the total number of settlements. The total number of subscribers in the district is 14,629.

This year, in the Kelessky district, work is underway to connect six more settlements to natural gas. This, in turn, will ensure the environmental cleanliness of the region, as well as save the villagers from storing coal reserves and removing ash during the heating season.
