A corporate seminar for employees of Samruk-Kazyna portfolio companies was held at the QazaqGaz headquarters, focusing on practical aspects of Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and related tax risks.
The seminar was organised under the Memorandum of Cooperation and Interaction between Samruk-Kazyna and the Chamber of Tax Consultants of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Participants reviewed Kazakhstan’s regulatory requirements for Country-by-Country Reporting, the structure and key indicators of CbCR, as well as the procedures for collecting, validating and consolidating data.
A separate session focused on practical aspects of preparing and submitting CbCR reports. Participants also discussed data quality and comparability requirements, coordination between different departments within companies, and common errors encountered in CbCR preparation.
The seminar also covered potential tax risks associated with Country-by-Country Reporting and approaches to mitigating them. Its practical format enabled participants to address issues that arise directly during the preparation of CbCR reports and exchange experience.
The seminar formed part of Samruk-Kazyna’s ongoing efforts to strengthen tax expertise and professional competencies among employees of its portfolio companies, while promoting consistent approaches to tax reporting and tax risk management across the Group.
