On August 14, the HSE Forum for technical managers and specialists in occupational health, industrial safety, and environmental protection opened in Astana, bringing together more than a hundred participants from production branches, subsidiaries, and partner companies of the QazaqGaz Group. The two-day event provided a platform for sharing expertise, best practices, and training.

The program featured presentations from QazaqGaz leadership, showcases of best practices, and specialized training modules. In his opening remarks, QazaqGaz Chairman of the Management Board Sanzhar Zharkeshov emphasized the importance of personal commitment to creating a safe working environment across all operations.

“I’m a production man myself — I’ve worked as a drilling engineer in different parts of the world. For me, safety is priority number one. This year, QazaqGaz has shown strong HSE results, and I call on all employees to stay focused and keep driving down the number of workplace incidents,” Zharkeshov said.

Panel sessions featured insights from specialists at major international companies including Chevron, CNPC, and Agip Caspian Sea.

The Forum was held in the framework of the Year of Working Professions, declared by the Head of State, an initiative aimed at strengthening the status of industrial specialists, promoting knowledge exchange, and advancing the culture of safety.

The HSE Forum served not only as a hub for sharing best practices but also as a significant step toward strengthening QazaqGaz’s overall safety culture.
