QazaqGaz has hosted a roundtable with the Kazakhstan Oilfield Services Companies Union (KazService) at its headquarters, bringing together QazaqGaz Chairman Alibek Zhamauov and KazService President Rashid Zhaksylykov to discuss the development of the gas sector and ways to strengthen cooperation.

Discussions centred on expanding opportunities for domestic companies, easing administrative hurdles and increasing the participation of Kazakh businesses in ongoing projects.

“Open engagement with industry associations helps us better understand market needs and create the right conditions for local companies to grow. We want to see Kazakh businesses play a more active role in our projects and advance alongside the industry,” said QazaqGaz Chairman Alibek Zhumayev.

KazService President Rashid Zhaksylykov emphasised that QazaqGaz’s drive to support business and contribute to the national economy is clearly visible.

“During today’s meeting, we reviewed the initiatives and projects under way with QazaqGaz’s involvement, as well as several world-class developments,” he noted.

Against the backdrop of major infrastructure projects, QazaqGaz is aiming to increase the share of local content in procurement and deepen its collaboration with domestic suppliers. Both sides underscored the importance of long-term cooperation and agreed to continue efforts to integrate local businesses into the country’s energy sector.
