On 23 April, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, Alibek Zhamauov, took part in a meeting of the Coordination Committee for the operation of the Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan–Kazakhstan–China main gas pipeline. The event is being held in Zhuhai, People’s Republic of China.
During the 34th session of the TUKK Coordination Committee, Mr Zhamauov delivered a report outlining QazaqGaz’s position on key aspects of the gas transmission system’s operation. In his remarks, he emphasised the importance of a multilateral approach to managing cross-border infrastructure across the region. A report was also presented by Mirat Utepov, General Director of Asian Gas Pipeline LLP.
As part of the visit to China, a number of bilateral meetings with partners were also held, aimed at strengthening cooperation and discussing the current agenda for collaboration in the gas sector.
The TUKK Coordination Committee serves as the principal mechanism for aligning supply, transportation regimes and ensuring the reliable operation of the pipeline, synchronising the actions of all participants along its entire route.
