The KIOGE International exhibition continues in Almaty. Today, Asylzhan Dauletov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz for Exploration and Production, spoke at the session "Gas and Gas Chemistry: A Strategy for value conversion".
During his speech, he spoke about the company's current exploration activities, prospects for exploring new territories and attracting international investors.
This year, QazaqGaz has received three licenses for geological exploration of the subsurface. They cover the territories of the Central geo-block of the Caspian Basin, the Shu-Sarysu and Teniz basins.
The company plans to start advanced exploration work by the end of the year. The three licenses provide for about 6,150 linear kilometers of 2D seismic exploration and about 126 thousand physical points of digital geochemical survey.
"To date, significant preparatory work has already been completed: a network of seismic profiles and geochemical studies has been planned. The next stage is field work, processing and comprehensive interpretation of the data obtained," Asylzhan Dauletov said.
According to him, QazaqGaz applies an integrated approach aimed at consistently reducing geological uncertainties. Analysis of the results of seismic exploration, geochemical studies and available geological and geophysical information will make it possible to clarify the structure of the basins, identify promising areas and form a portfolio of facilities for subsequent exploration work.
The company is also expanding its activities in poorly explored territories, which can provide an increase in the resource base in the long term. At the same time, obtaining a license or conducting seismic exploration does not mean the discovery of a deposit. Prospective facilities must go through the stages of resource assessment, geological risks and economic efficiency, after which the most attractive ones will be recommended for detailed research and drilling.
During the speech, special attention was paid to attracting investments. Today, QazaqGaz's geological portfolio includes 28 sites located in various regions of Kazakhstan.
The company conducts technical presentations of projects, sends information about promising gas sites to potential partners, signs preliminary cooperation agreements and discusses various models for joint implementation and financing of exploration work.
"We are open to cooperation with both existing partners and new investors. It is important for us to form long-term partnerships that combine Kazakhstan's resource potential, investments and modern technologies," Asylzhan Dauletov said.
