Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC QazaqGaz”, Alibek Zhamauov, met with Liu Yongjie, Chairman of the Board of Directors at CNOOC International, during a working visit to China.
Discussions centred on expanding the gas resource base, improving the efficiency of exploration activities and adopting advanced technologies across the sector. QazaqGaz reaffirmed its openness to constructive dialogue, joint assessment of geological potential and consideration of possible cooperation models.
In line with the President’s instructions, the national company has intensified its exploration initiatives and is working to strengthen the country’s long-term energy security. The parties reviewed various formats of partnership, including the involvement of international players in promising projects.
