Deputy Chairman of the Board for Geological Exploration and Prospective Projects at JSC “NC “QazaqGaz”, Ulan Burkitov, and General Director of JSC “KOR”, Daulet Uzakov, signed an agreement to jointly conduct geological exploration on Akkuduk site in Mangystau region. This cooperation is being carried out within the framework of the implementation of the Head of State's directive and in accordance with the strategy of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" to increase the country's gas resource base.
The Akkuduk site is located within the gas-bearing area of the Mangystau sedimentary basin, and there is a significant potential for the discovery of gas and gas condensate fields.
JSC “NC “QazaqGaz” conduct analyses of Kazakhstan's sedimentary basins on a regular basis to identify potential new exploration blocks. The national gas company remains open for collaboration with both national and international companies for the joint implementation of hydrocarbon exploration projects.
