JSC NC QazaqGaz, together with its strategic partner JSC CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has signed a subsoil use contract for the Severnyi-1 block in the Aktobe Region.
The signing of the contract creates opportunities for a comprehensive programme of geological exploration. The block is characterised by strong potential for the discovery of new hydrocarbon reserves.
Under the terms of the contract, 2D and 3D seismic surveys will be carried out, along with the drilling of both independent and contingent exploration wells.
JSC NC QazaqGaz and JSC CNPC-AktobeMunaiGas intend to carry out all operations in full compliance with modern environmental standards and industrial safety requirements.
