The Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC, Kazakhstan’s sovereign wealth fund, has decided to terminate early the powers of Yelzhas Otynshiev as Chairman of the Board of Directors of NC QazaqGaz JSC, effective 6 August 2026.
Zhandos Kaiyrgeldi has been appointed the new Chairman of the Board of Directors and representative of Samruk-Kazyna. He has more than 10 years of professional experience in corporate finance, strategic and financial planning, investment project management, risk management and corporate governance.
Over the course of his career, Kaiyrgeldi has held senior positions at KazMunayGas Products LLP, KPI Inc. LLP, KLPE LLP and Silleno LLP, where he oversaw economic and financial matters, risk management, financial support for investment projects and operational activities. Since August 2025, he has served as Director of the Oil and Gas Assets Department at Samruk-Kazyna JSC.
The changes took effect following a decision by the shareholder’s Board.
