Following the instructions of the Head of State to convert Almaty CHPPs to gas, a subsidiary of QazaqGaz NC JSC - Intergas Central Asia JSC - completed the construction of an automatic gas distribution station for Almaty CHPP-3. The productivity of AGRS-3 is 150 thousand m3/hour, the inlet pressure is 5.4 MPa, and the outlet pressure is 1.2 MPa.

AGDS-3 is designed to supply CHPP-3 with natural gas to improve the ecology of the city of Almaty. Implementing the project will enhance the quality of life of people in Almaty by reducing air pollution in the city and surrounding areas and covering growing energy consumption.

Previously, QazaqGaz reported the completion of the construction of an AGDS for CHPP-2 and the TIP-04 Kairat gas jumper pipeline between the Kazakhstan-China main gas pipeline and the Almaty-Baiserke-Talgar main gas pipeline as part of the preparation of gas infrastructure for the Almaty energy complex.

In addition, QazaqGaz is ahead of schedule in constructing the second line of the Almaty-Baiserke-Talgar main gas pipeline with a length of 62.4 km, which will ensure a reliable and uninterrupted supply of natural gas to consumers in Almaty and the Almaty region, including to CHPP-2 and CHPP-3, and will also allow avoiding emergencies associated with the shutdown of the existing single-line gas pipeline "Almaty-Baiserke-Talgar".

Also, a subsidiary of NC QazaqGaz JSC - KazTransGas Aimak JSC - is currently completing work on constructing a high-pressure underground gas supply pipeline from the AGDS for CHPP-2 to the territory of CHPP-2.
