On November 1 in St. Petersburg, within the framework of the XII St. Petersburg International Forum, the QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center entered into an agreement with the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies - Gazprom VNIIGAZ.

The partnership under the Memorandum is aimed at building effective interaction and cooperation between QazaqGaz STC LLP and Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC on a range of issues of scientific and innovative activities.

The document was signed by Saule Samekina, Deputy General Director for Analytics and Training at QazaqGaz STC, and Maxim Nedzvetsky, General Director of Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC, to develop close mutually beneficial cooperation in the areas of activity of both parties.

The priority areas of interaction will be:

 transfer and implementation of the latest techniques and technologies to solve production problems;

 professional development of personnel;

 commercialization of scientific research results and implementation of the latest scientific developments in the gas industry;

 studying the experience of developing corporate standardization;

 study of approaches to the implementation of the Unified Technical Policy;

 study of approaches to assessing the technical condition and managing the integrity of production facilities;

 study of approaches to creating underground gas storage facilities of various types / development of key technologies;

 study of modern trends and solutions in the field of electrochemical protection.

It should be noted that Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC is the main scientific center of Gazprom PJSC in the field of technology, carrying out research and scientific and methodological support for projects implemented by Gazprom PJSC in the areas of gas production, transportation, underground storage, processing and use.

The Institute has 20 scientific centers, its own experimental base on which more than 60 stands and installations operate. The result of theoretical and experimental research was more than 300 patents for various technological processes, materials and equipment for the gas industry.
