As part of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Almasadam Satkaliyev's working visit to the People's Republic of China, the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov met with representatives of Chinese energy companies and government agencies.
In particular, the head of QazaqGaz participated in a meeting with Zhang Jianhua, the head of the State Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China. The participants discussed specific existing and new projects in the gas industry.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov also met with CNPC Chairman Dai Houliang. The parties discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in the field of geological exploration and development of the Kazakhstan gas transportation system and issues of gas exports to China.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov also met with President of PetroChina Company Limited Huang Yongzhang and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAPline Zhong Fan. During the talks, the participants discussed the possibility of Chinese partners participating in joint projects.
In addition, Sanzhar Zharkeshov met with representatives of one of the leading drilling companies, SIBU, and expressed interest in bilateral cooperation. They discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, the progress of projects in Kazakhstan, the possibility of exchanging experience, and the training of local specialists.
The management of QazaqGaz NC JSC held talks with the Great Wall Engineering drilling company under CNPC. The participants discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation and the possibility of implementing projects in Kazakhstan.
It's worth noting that QazaqGaz is actively pursuing the acquisition of new sites to organize geological exploration work, a proactive step that has significantly increased its portfolio of geological exploration assets.
