During a recent working visit to the Atyrau Region, Ulan Burkitov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of QazaqGaz NC JSC, toured the construction site of the Kashagan gas processing plant (GPP), which will have a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters. While on-site, he met with employees of GPC Investment LLP and key contractor representatives.
The QazaqGaz leadership was briefed on the installation of distillation columns at the light hydrocarbon production unit. A high-capacity crane has been deployed to install large-scale column equipment at the sulfur production unit. Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing for positioning mid-tonnage equipment across six facilities.
Contractor representatives also reported the successful completion of preparatory work for constructing steel vertical tanks with a 5,000 m³ capacity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the general contractor confirmed plans to accelerate construction by increasing manpower and deploying additional specialized equipment. These efforts aim to expedite construction at off-site facilities, storage areas, and commercial product shipment zones.
