During the panel session at the First Conference Energy Trends: Gas & Petrochemicals, Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov spoke about the results of reforms and new opportunities for the gas industry in Kazakhstan.
In addition, the head of the national company spoke about several essential investment projects that were completed this year. Among them are the construction of the Makat-North Caucasus gas pipeline looping, the launch of the second line of the Beineu-Zhanaozen gas pipeline, and others.
"The gas industry of Kazakhstan has great development potential due to untapped resources and the country's unique location. Consumption growth is predicted both in the country and in the region. All this strengthens Kazakhstan's position as an energy player," said Sanzhar Zharkeshov.
The conference was also attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz M. Ikhsanov, General Director of Exploration and Production QazaqGaz A. Kuandykov, Director of the Department for Raw Gas Processing of QazaqGaz Zh. Dzhilkaidarov, Acting. Deputy General Director for Development of KazTransGas Onimderi A. Nogaibaev and Deputy General Director for Economics of Asian Gas Pipeline S. Kaliaskarov. It should be noted that NC QazaqGaz JSC became the event's general partner.
Speakers presented new capital projects in the gas industry, upcoming and potential gas storage and transportation projects, and current natural gas motor fuel trends.
