The business trip of the Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC QazaqGaz," Sanzhar Zharkeshov, to the Atyrau region continued with visits to new projects for the modernization of the country's gas transportation system.
The head of the national company inspected the progress of preparatory work on the Kazakh section of the main gas pipeline "Central Asia - Center" for the transportation of Russian gas to the Republic of Uzbekistan through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
All technical activities are being carried out by JSC "NC QazaqGaz" in full accordance with the approved plan and schedule. Currently, several repair and restoration measures have been completed:
- Ahead of schedule and in full, repair and restoration work on section No. 14 in the Mangystau region has been completed, and pressure testing was successfully conducted.
- The repair and restoration work on section No. 1 in the West Kazakhstan region is nearing completion.
- Active repair and restoration work is ongoing on sections No. 2 to No. 13 in the Atyrau region.
It is worth noting that the gas transit to Uzbekistan is planned to commence from October 2023.
In May of this year, JSC "NC QazaqGaz" and PJSC "Gazprom" signed an agreement for the transportation of natural gas through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for consumers in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Additionally, during the business trip, Sanzhar Zharkeshov familiarized himself with the progress of preparatory work for the autumn-winter period, the modernization of the underground gas storage facility in Bozoy, and visited the gas processing plant at Kashagan with a capacity of 1 billion cubic meters.
