Manas Tasybayev, General Director of JSC Intergas Central Asia, reviewed the progress of the investment project "Construction of the Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipeline".

The construction of the linear part of the new gas pipeline has already been completed. Hydraulic tests for the strength and tightness of the process pipeline and equipment have been carried out.

At the moment, the construction of six automatic gas distribution stations is in full swing simultaneously: Kapal, Zhansugurov, Sarkand, Koylyk, Kabanbai and Usharal. Аt the same time, 4 AGRS: Kapal, Zhansugurov, Sarkand and Usharal have already successfully passed tests for strength and tightness, which are an important tool for ensuring the safety and reliability of equipment operating under pressure.  In total, 126 units of special equipment and 288 employees are involved in the construction.  Currently, the stations are 74% ready. The construction works are under special control and are ahead of schedule. The commissioning of the Taldykorgan-Usharal main gas pipeline is scheduled for August this year.

For reference: According to the technological scheme of the project, the total length of the gas pipeline is 302.441 km, the design pressure is Pp = 9.8 MPa. The project also provides for the construction of 6 branch gas pipelines and 6 automatic gas distribution stations. The project is being implemented on behalf of the Head of State. Construction of the new gas pipeline began in August 2024 during Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov's working trip to the Zhetisu region.  66 settlements of Aksu, Sarkand, and Alakol districts, where 134 thousand inhabitants live, will have the opportunity to access natural gas. An additional positive effect will be in the form of an increase in business activity, the development of small and medium-sized businesses with the creation of new jobs.
