Alibek Zhamauov, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz, held a meeting with Zhang Chuanjiang, Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC).
The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in the gas sector, including the implementation of joint geological exploration projects, attracting investment and applying advanced technologies to expand the resource base of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Following the meeting, QazaqGaz and CNOOC signed a Cooperation Agreement setting out the key areas for further collaboration between the companies.
CNOOC is one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies, with extensive experience in geological exploration, hydrocarbon development and production. The company operates projects in more than 20 countries.
