Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov and President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Olivier Houze discussed the prospects for cooperation in training for the oil and gas industry.
Interaction with SPE is planned within the framework of the activities of the QazaqGaz Scientific and Technical Center. Young employees of the QazaqGaz group and holders of the QazaqGaz scholarship are also being considered for the SPE mentoring program, which aims to develop future leaders of Kazakhstan's oil and gas industry.
QazaqGaz is ready to support SPEs in the region. Its competencies and knowledge in hydrocarbon reserve estimation (PRMS), carbon capture, utilization, storage, and emission reduction (CCUS) technology will be useful for the development of the Kazakhstan gas industry.
It should be noted that for several years, Sanzhar Zharkeshov headed the international Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) regional divisions.
NC QazaqGaz JSC awarded personal scholarships to students of the Institute of Geology and Oil and Gas named after K. Turysov at Satbayev University and the Faculty of Energy and Oil and Gas Industry of KBTU. One hundred ten students took part in the selection.
