Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna JSC Nurlan Zhakupov held a meeting at QazaqGaz, where he heard a report on the company’s performance in 2023 and plans for 2024. In addition, Nurlan Zhakupov got acquainted with the work of the Unified Dispatch Center of the national gas company. With the support of the Government and the Samruk-Kazyna Foundation, QazaqGaz has implemented projects necessary for the country’s energy security over the past year.

A gasification project for the Sarsha and Teply Beach areas has been completed to ensure a stable gas supply to the west of Kazakhstan. Looping of the main gas pipeline, “Makat-North Caucasus” (looping is a pipeline laid parallel to the main one to expand capacity), and a second line, “Beineu-Zhanaozen,” were also built. The overhaul of 3 lines of the Zhanaozen-Aktau gas pipeline in the Mangystau region has been completed. In addition, the first stage of constructing gas infrastructure for the Almaty energy complex (for converting Almaty thermal power plants to gas) has been completed.

In 2023, 107 settlements were connected to the gas supply system. As a result, more than 206 thousand people received access to gas.

For reference: The unified dispatch center of QazaqGaz NC JSC was created in 2015. EDC manages suitable commercial gas supply systems and the operating mode of gas transmission system (GTS) facilities around the clock through the dispatch services of its subsidiaries. The EDC also interacts with the dispatch services of the gas transportation systems of neighboring countries (Gazprom, Uztransgaz, Turkmengaz, Gazprom-Kyrgyzstan, Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline - China).
